In searching for an effective tempo creator for the new chime update that is coming, I’ve discovered a way to get mine carts to go FOREVER without much iron at all. Iron is only required for going up/down hills, and for making turns. Furthermore, you DO go a bit slower, but aren’t you willing to pay that price for legit long tracks?

I made a long mine cart track between my two bases so I don’t have to walk/swim. Doesn’t look that great but it’s more for usefulness. Uses a “booster” like glitch to achieve this. Do note that this was made before powered minecarts. The song is “The Distance” by Cake. This method CAN NOT be used anymore as Notch fixed the bug and tracks won’t float in the air anymore.
